OUR OBJECTIVES
1) To form a network of Nkoni Cameroon Women Organization to which all Nkoni or similar groups with similar objectives and Anglophone culture can be affiliated.
2) To provide a forum where women with the same cultural background can meet to discuss issues that affect their welfare.
3) To promote and facilitate assistance to the needy where necessary.
4) To enhance, promote, facilitate the economic, social, cultural, and educational development of members, other women and children.
5) To endeavor through education and other methods to improve the status of women in general.
6) To promote and maintain the cultural value and heritage of the Bamileke people.
7) To provide and undertake common initiative projects for the benefit of members.
8) To execute and promote a culture forum for social and cultural interaction that explores and focuses on those practices that hinder the development of women and children.
To realize these objectives, Nkoni Cameroon does the following:
- Promotes the learning of the culture and tradition of the Bamileke people with its dignity and respect for all especially elders and authority and exhibit them in songs, dances, sketches, jokes riddle, etc.;
- Development of talents and skills of empowerment and placing them at the disposal of those less privileged;
- Conceiving and putting up projects before soliciting for assistance;
- Promoting literal and educational forum for our self-development;
- Economic empowerment in self-help and self-reliant policies, setting up funds and generating schemes for our economic empowerment;
- Encouraging Philanthropic attitude and concern for the less privileged members of our society.
